Compare and order integers

Whole-number positions on both sides of zero

Integers are zero, positive whole numbers and their negative opposites. They do not include non-whole fractions or decimals

Positive integers lie to the right of zero on a horizontal number line. Negative integers lie to the left. Equal steps represent equal changes in value

A positive sign is optional. A negative sign is part of the number and cannot be discarded

Zero is neither positive nor negative. It is the reference point between them
