Labelled matrix applications
Construct labelled factors, align the shared categories and interpret each output entry with its units
- Align First-factor columns and second-factor rows describe the same ordered categories
- Interpret Output rows come from the first factor and columns from the second
- Validate Check units, nonnegative counts, fixed rates and additive assumptions against the context
Worked example
A third site orders two small and one large kit. Use costs 8 and 13 dollars and times 2 and 5 minutes
- \(\displaystyle =\begin{pmatrix}29&9\end{pmatrix}\)The outputs mean 29 dollars and 9 assembly minutes, not a unitless pair
